The Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust through its subsidary company, Gigha Trading Limited, developed a new camp and motorhome site near the ferry slip on the Isle of Gigha. This includes serviced pitches, car parking, chemical waste disposal and an accommodation block comprising toilets, showers and a small welcome office.
The construction was completed in August 2022 and is now open for business. You can find out more and book online here.
The project was developed in response to an increase in wild camping across the island due to no official facilities being available.
This project was funded by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Visit Scotland's Rural Tourism Infrastructure Fund, and Argyll and Bute Council.
